Derry, NH — Parkland Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, announces the appointment of Whitney Fenyak as chief executive officer. Fenyak has been with HCA Healthcare since 2019 when she joined Portsmouth Regional Hospital as vice president of operations.
Most recently, Fenyak served as chief operating officer at HCA Healthcare’s Reston Hospital Center in Virginia where she successfully led the expansion of operating rooms, added much-needed acute rehab beds and managed a multi-million-dollar facility renovation. She also strengthened physician relationships and spearheaded the recruitment of 20 cardiologists to establish a cardiology clinic.
“Since joining HCA Healthcare, Whitney has consistently demonstrated unparalleled leadership, along with a remarkable talent for building relationships and bridging gaps,” said William Lunn, president of HCA Healthcare’s Capital Division. “Her vision and ability to think about the big picture will be invaluable as she returns to New Hampshire to lead Parkland Medical Center.”
In addition to her role as chief operating officer at Reston Hospital Center, Fenyak served as Reston’s interim chief executive officer and previously as vice president of operations at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Fenyak led the initial planning for an acute rehabilitation center at Frisbie Memorial Hospital, developed a partial hospitalization program, and helped create a behavioral health pod in the emergency room.

Fenyak earned her bachelor of science degree from the University of New Hampshire and her master’s degree in health services administration from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Fenyak succeeds John Skevington, who has been appointed CEO at HCA Healthcare’s Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.
