Make a P.A.C.T. with Parkland – Pediatric Asthma Care & Training

On Saturday April 13th, 2013 at 11:00 am, Parkland Medical Center will be offering to the community a free pediatric asthma training course. The Make a P.A.C.T with Parkland, Pediatric Asthma Care and Training class provides families throughout the Greater Derry area an opportunity to learn more about their child’s asthma, and how to self-manage this chronic illness. Led by a certified asthma educator, the Make A P.A.C.T. with Parkland community education series helps families become more familiar with:
- Asthma attacks
- Devices used to monitor asthma
- Devices used for medication administration
- Triggers and how to reduce trigger exposure
- How to read an action plan
- What to do in an emergency
- Question and answer time
