Parkland Medical Center
February 25, 2015

The Administration and staff of Parkland Medical Center are pleased to announce the opening of the newly constructed Parkland Center for Emotional Wellness on the hospital’s campus in Derry, NH. “Emotional wellness is an essential part of a person’s overall health and well-being,” according to Parkland CEO Chris Accashian.  “We are proud to offer this new program which will provide more patients with comprehensive, individualized care for when they need it most, without leaving their community.”

Construction of the 7,500 square foot, two story, 14-bed behavioral health unit began in early May 2014. This new center is designed to provide an intensive inpatient treatment to voluntary adult patients, ages 18 and older, using an interdisciplinary therapeutic team approach. The patient centered focus is to promote wellness and recovery through the development of individual coping strategies for the patients served. Because Parkland Medical Center is a full service hospital, medical-surgical services are quickly available should a medical emergency or complications arise during treatment.

The assessment and referral team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a free and confidential evaluation.
