Parkland Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathryn Marschner, RN, CNOR as the new Director of Surgical Services. Kathy joins the Parkland leadership team with more than 30 years of nursing experience. Prior to joining Parkland Medical Center, Kathy was the Clinical Nurse Manager for The Surgery Center for Greater Nashua.

As the Director of Surgical Services at Parkland Medical Center, Kathy is responsible for the operations and activities of all of Parkland’s perioperative services—ambulatory and post-anesthesia care units, pre-admission testing, central sterile services, the pain clinic and the endoscopy suite.

Kathy previously worked at Parkland Medical Center, as well as Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA. She has an associate’s degree in nursing from Rivier College and is in the process of completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing by the end of 2015. Kathy is also a certified operating room nurse (CNOR). She is a native of New York and now resides in Hudson, NH with her family.

Eileen Keefe, chief nursing officer at Parkland Medical Center, offered the following comment regarding Kathy’s experience and abilities. “Kathy is a highly respected nurse leader with a strong clinical foundation. She also has superior communication and advocacy skills.”
