Parkland Medical Center is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Julie A. Abbott, BSN, RN, NE-BC as the assistant chief nursing officer (ACNO) for the hospital. Julie joins Parkland’s leadership team with almost 20 years of nursing experience, most recently as Parkland’s director of Adult & Critical Care Services. Julie is a New Hampshire native and grew up in Windham.
In Julie’s new role as ACNO, she will serve on the hospital’s senior leadership team and support the leadership and direction of nursing practice throughout the organization. She will also be responsible for the hospital’s adult and critical care services and behavioral health unit.
Julie has diverse nursing experience in Medical Surgical, Pediatrics, Mental Health and Critical Care. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Rivier University and is pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Healthcare Systems at Rivier University and recently received her board-certified nurse executive (NE-BC) designation.
