Ana R Stankovic, MD
Dr. Stankovic is Board Certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine, Board Certified in Health Care Quality and Management (American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians), Certified as Clinical Hypertension Specialist (American Society of Hypertension), and Certified as Laboratory Director for moderately complex laboratory (COLA). Dr. Stankovic is a Fellow of the American Institute for Healthcare Quality. Dr. Stankovic currently serves as Medical Director of Peritoneal Dialysis at DaVita Dialysis Clinic and Medical Director of Nephrology at Parkland Medical Center. Dr. Stankovic is Vice Chief of Staff and Chair of the Peer Review Committee at Parkland Medical Center.
Dr. Stankovic earned her Doctorate of Medicine degree from Brown University, completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University and conducted her fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard Medical School. Clinical and professional interests include chronic kidney disease, hypertension, gout, bone and mineral disorders, diabetic nephropathy, electrolyte disorders, pharmaceutical and legal medicine, medical management and administration, healthcare quality and patient safety, among others.
The author of publications on topics related to her areas of expertise, Dr. Stankovic is a member of several medical societies, including the American College of Physicians, American Society of Hypertension, American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, American Society of Nephrology, and American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Stankovic serves on American College of Physicians National Young Physician Council (Chair of NH Chapter), American College of Physicians New Hampshire Governor’s Advisory Council, and American Society of Nephrology Practicing Nephrologist Advisory Council. She is also the recipient of academic and patient-centered awards.
