The Lahey Institute of Urology at Parkland Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of two new Board Certified urologists to its Derry location — Matthew Johnson, M.D. and Liyan Zhuang, M.D., Ph.D. Both Drs. Johnson and Zhuang are on-site urology care specialists from the Institute of Urology at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

Dr. Johnson cares for the male and female patient with urologic conditions. His practice focuses on surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia and treatment of urinary incontinence, kidney stones and male infertility. Dr. Johnson received his doctorate in medicine from the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine and performed his residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Zhuang has been in practice for more than 20 years and cares for the male, female and pediatric patient. His practice focuses on minimally invasive surgery for urologic cancers, percutaneous kidney stone treatment, microsurgical vasectomy treatment, disorders of the urinary tract and urinary retention. Dr. Zhuang received his doctorate in medicine from Norman Bethune University of Medical Sciences in Deijing, China and performed his residency at Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.
