- Get regular weight-bearing exercise.
- Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.
- Talk to your doctor about bone health and take medication when prescribed.
- Have a bone density test to determine your risk for osteoporosis.
Choose Parkland’s services for comprehensive breast care, including the latest in mammography, such as 3-D tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound and MRI, minimally-invasive biopsies, comprehensive treatments for breast cancer and benign breast conditions and genetic risk assessment. Should your mammogram indicate the need for further testing or treatment, our breast health nurse navigator will walk you through every step of the process.
