Volunteers Make the Difference
Be someone special. Everyone in the healthcare industry is aware of the impact that volunteers can make on hospital operations today. With all these changes taking place at such a rapid pace, there is a need to expand the volunteer program at Parkland Medical Center. We are looking for people who would enjoy sharing their time in our volunteer program.
The program is varied. You may serve at the information desk, out patient area, and various hospital departments as well as some nursing areas.
A four-hour shift in the morning, afternoon, or evening is available each day of the week. As a volunteer, you are eligible for a free meal before or after each four-hour shift you volunteer. Several functions are held during the year to honor our volunteers.
You will find the personal benefits from giving of yourself as a member of the volunteer staff are most rewarding.
Our volunteer department is a diverse mix of ages and backgrounds which allows for positive growth and development. Our Junior Volunteers are ages 14 - 17. For more information about the volunteer program, please call Donna Harris, Director of Volunteer Services at 421-2009.
