Parkland Medical Center
November 08, 2011

The November Parkland Medical Center “Log in to Better Health” program will feature Dr. Anne Loosmann, who will be presenting “Why Does My Stomach Hurt? The surgical and non–surgical causes of abdominal pain”. The lecture, which is viewable both live and online, will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 17.

Topics discussed will include the most common reasons that people of all ages have pain in the different parts of the abdomen, including problems such as appendicitis and gall bladder disease. Stomach pain can be an indication of a major illness, stomach trauma or disease – or it can also be a minor passing inconvenience. Dr. Loosmann will also review warning signs of serious stomach issues, and how to tell when it is time to seek emergency medical help. The presentation will address both adolescent abdominal issues as well as adults.  There is no cost to attend.

The presentation will be available both live and online. The live event is at the Parkland Medical Center Nutfield Building, 44 Birch Street, Suite 203, (Entrance A) Derry, NH. Call 1–877–642–2362 to register for the LIVE event. Refreshments will be provided.
